I went to Long Island for thanksgiving. Gosh, it seems like forever ago. But i took these in brooklyn on the same trip. Thanks, S, for bringing us to the famous bocce-court-sporting bar that is Union Hall!

Today brings another snow storm. What a lovely New Years eve.

So I looked over my espresso, and out Mike's kitchen window yesterday, and what do I see?

An eagle. or a hawk. I can't decide. Either way, I saw a large bird of prey that does not usually hang out 20 feet from a city apartment, on a short telephone pole.

Amazing!

it's getting colder

So I thought I would post this one on honor of the changing weather. I found this a few months ago and scanned it. It's Colorado, which is an amazing place for many things, not least of which is the weather. I love this picture because it looks like spring, till you notice the dense snow on the ground.
